I don't remember what these flowers are called but I remember a very long time ago Mom let me plant them as "my flowers", out by the grape tree. They were beautiful but I remember that they came up as weeds long after that year. They would be a good thing to try down here...any thing that grows like weeds gives them a chance here.Are they Cosmos? That seems familiar.

Yes, Kayleen, they are Cosmos. It's funny, I haven't grown them for a couple or three years, but just decided this summer that I am going to plant some next spring. They do reseed all over, but I love them.
